Geng Masak Vetcamp in The Kitchenn. Behind The Scene.

Assalamualaikum dun-ya~
Just came back from my short 3 days holidays from Kedah
yesterday. Alhamdulillah perjalanan dipermudahkan olehNya.
Last week , I’ve joined the AJK Makanan for VetCamp for 3
days and 2 nights. It was the most memorable, precious, knowledgeable experience
ever. VetCamp is a tradition held by our successors *hoho that must be handled
by DVM2s. Which is my friend and I this year. Compare to others, I don’t have
any memories about VetCamp because my VetCamp’s memoirs is just me lying down,
sleeping, and fighting against Dengue at that time. I was so eager to go home.
Thus, I really excited to join VetCamp this time and making sure I am not sick!
A night before moving to the campsite, we need to prepare the ingredientss first! I never spent this much!
I was appointed to be one of the head chef, and I was like..
‘What?? No no .. I honestly don’t know much about cooking’
I just know how to do fried egg, cook sardine, simple2 soup.
Hee.
The journey begun, the AJK Makanan team needed to be at the
campsite one day earlier than others because we need to prepare lunch for the
participant that will arrive on the next day. Plus, we need to clear all the
mess and set up the place. Here, I diagnosed myself as slightly OCD (obsessive
compulsive disorder) I really can’t stand seeing the dust! Every particle must
be get rid! Thus, on the first day, I forgot myself as a chef and indulge in
the cleaning works..hee. Starting from the sweeping, mopping, clean the 200++ chickens,
peeling 200++ onions and garlics, etc. In hoping that I wouldn’t be the chef
anymore. Hee. It was fun! No lies, that it was really tiring on the first day.
And our hands became slightly like a balloon due to the peeling job.

On the second day, my friends, Shahira and Afiqah took turn to in charge for preparing the lunch. Phew. I relieved. Hee. Thus, my
friends and I continue with the cleaning job which people try to avoid from.
Its okay, working as a team need to complete and help each other! And playing with water and bubbles are not bad though.
At night, Shahira offered me to charge for preparing the
breakfast on next morning. Ouh o. Here comes, The moment of truth.

| well, thats the truth. we're not tall enough. |
All of us sacrificed our beauty sleep to prepare the meal
for the participantands other facis. Honestly, I was sooo nervous. I was
assigned to cook fried meehun for 200+ people!. Then, Maizatul Amira came and became my co-chef. She
taught me A LOT. In short, now I know how to cook for any meal that require
sambal. Back in time, I always failed in making sambal. It always turned out to
be burnt out or sticking to each other. Now..not anymore.*flip tudung. Tadaa~

| best moment is when to serve people, |
Well that’s my story.
AJK Makanan is one of the most tired team when you are working
in it especially when you decided to cook by yourselves instead of using
caterer. However, it will be the most exciting job dealing with the heat *as
you are in Iron Chef reality show* and strengthen the bond with your teammates
and friends.
Fiza prepared the best rice. Non sticky and every piece of
rice turned out nicely.
Fathiah prepared the nicest beverage. Not too sweet and
always prepared with hot plain water. I know It really hard to deal with the unwanted
particles in the water.
Shahira and Afiqah is our Master Chef Sifu!
Afifah is my best breakfast-chef partner.
Not to forget Allison, Kai Thong, Iqmal, Ibet and and

Thank you!
Alhamdulillah, 85% done with constructing the new look for my
blog for 2016. Tomorrow, starting my practical journey to Perlok, Pahang. May
Him ease.
