I went to the one in Seksyen 4, Shah Alam right after my half day shift in the clinic. In the spirit of craving for good bake, with chill cafe, my partner and I decided for Cake Jalan Tiung,CJT. We have been eyeing for that cafe quite long ago.
When we arrived, it was 4-ish pm, the indoor seating was full, but not so packed since there are some outdoor seatings too. So we looked around the displayed cake, thankfully one customer left so we grabbed the seat. We decided for Pecan Pie cake, Salted Caramel cake, and a pavlova. Two sky juice and one tea name quite I cant remember.
The ambience just nice, no background music played which I like so we can focus on spending time with people we are with, and the food.
We are both particular with food actually. The Pecan Pie taste okay, with base of butter cake, layered with thin layer of pecan nuts and icing. The winner were the three pecan nuts roasted with cinnamon sprinkle, that taste great. However the Salted Caramel cake with based of dark choco cake doesnt blend in well with the caramel. Every bite taste a bit off. We both agree that their pavlova is almost perfect. The crust, the inner marshmellow texture, and the fruits topping are blending well.
We are hoping to taste their famous creampuff, but of course by the time we arrive already sold out.
The overall experience is good, we could had good chat and snapping pictures, but had some tough time to finish the cake. Pavlova finished first.
Till the next cafe hoping!
