Assalamualaikum Dun-ya...
Just to share a several infos about a veterinarian that people might already know but they don't believe it cuz they thought it isn't true.
It is about who a vet is.. and I'm actually missing my blog too much :P
1)They can be a good Paediatrician.. Doktor Budak budak
A vet who deals with animals can actually be a good paediatrician because they can use their sense in diagnosing animal to their baby.
Why? Because a baby just mumble and crying without words! Who else can understand it if no other person called as Vet. Because animal also cannot talk! When a vet diagnose an animal they focus and observe on everything about the animal to know what is the animal's problems... So it is the same situation goes to the baby.. a vet mom can know what is their problem by observing on every possibility, whether their mouth, their faeces, red eyes and etcs without depending on their mumble... hehe.. Agree?
2) A vet is truly known as a very patient and cool person
"Orang yang jadi vet ni kan.. mesti penyabar, sebab ye la kita bukan faham haiwan tu cakap apa, lepas tu tak boleh cepat melatah. nanti haiwan tu pun takut" - random girl in the 17cafe
That is the random conversation I heard while I was waiting to pay for my lunch at the counter.. That girl made my day! Fadh senyum sorang-sorang bila dengar dia cakap macam tu....hehe sampai makcik kaunter pun tegur kenapa senyum sorang-sorang. Ops.
But.. thats the skill that a vet must master in. Patience and Cool but still Rapidly thinking what is the animal problem, what is the best way to treat them. Because the animal will keep on struggling, scratching you, biting you takkan kite nak gigit or marah2 animal tu balik kan?
So in shaa Allah.. a Vet also a patience mom. ^^ Agree?
3)Please be patience and listen to her/his animal story. Everyday.
Well.. you know who is their patient. No other than cats, dogs, monkeys, giraffes, bears etc etc. So, they might be sharing with you about their animal patient eeveerryyydayy.. I bet you will and must be tired of hearing that.. huhu I'm sorry. But just be patient. I dont know how to say more. However, we also will tell you our experience with the client which is the pet's owner.. So if you feel boring on hearing our animal's story.. ask us to change the story to pet's owner story.. Hehe.. its my suggestion-la..
But when you have reached your limit... quickly let us know. Agree?
4)Please be patience with the Smelly smell~
If we were back from the farm, we will bring back the smell of the cows, goats, grasses, molasses, hays, and etcs. If we were back from the clinic or hospital, we will bring back the smell of the cats, dogs, monkey, sugar gliders, hedgehog, medication and etc etcs... By hook or by crook, all those smell that you need to bear when we are back home.. It is not about we didn't took care of our hygiene.. but the smell is in the air how can we stop it??!! T_T
Plus, from my experience, after I bathed a ferret, the ferret's odour enough to make people avoiding me for one whole day! I just bathed ONE ferret.. not two or more..
For your information, certain animal got their significant body odour. It is used to mark their territory. So, it is their nature.. we cannot blame them.. Each of their anatomy have its own function. ^^
5)You might be a vegetarian for a certain time. Quite a long time.
When we treated, and handled too many cases regarding surgery and blood or animal at the farm.. we might loose our appetite toward chicken and beef. Or worse toward fish.
So, your spouse might prepare vegetable dishes for one whole week for you and your family.
This is because, in an easy word to say, when we have done and seen too much of animal being dissect and yet when we are home we are going to eat them??(chicken or beef etc) Noo. Please.
We(vet) sometimes need a break. Huhu. At that time, you are going to see only greens(vegetable) on your dining table everydayyy.. so.. Fadh minta maaf awal awal ye.. sorry!
6)Bring them to a vacation far from animal world...
It is very hard for a vet to get a day off. Because everyday, every night, 24/7, there is patient everywhere.. In the forest,at the hospital, at the zoo, at the clinic, universities... you name it.
So, when you get a chance to bring them for a holiday or even a short vacation, they will feel delighted to be brought away far from animal life..
Distract them from thinking or talking about animal.. It will be a good therapy for us. Hee.
That's all from me. Well, I miss my blog very muche! Thank you for reading. I am now in Second semester of Doctor Veterinary Medicine.. and its getting tough! Next week is the first test! Pray for me and may everyone of us in this world will get the best from Him.Ameen.
